You may have been notified that your UFirst credit or debit card might have been compromised. As a precaution the cards that are listed as being "at risk" have been canceled and new cards are being issued. Visa has been communciating with CEO Bourgeois on a regular basis and has been keeping her informed on the status of this security breach on the part of TJX Corp. and its subsidiaries.
This is another example of how the CEO and staff of UFirst FCU protects the security of our members.
This incident brings to light the need for all of us to monitor our credit card statements and credit reports for any suspicious transactions or notations. Each of us is now eligible to receive one credit report per year. Obtaining this report would be a good beginning for 2007. Our wonderful credit union staff would be happy to answer any questions you may have about securing your credit report.

While posts like this might be difficult to make (as it's not a pleasant announcement), by being transparent about the situation and offering a solution, it's apparent that the UFirst Board and Management team take seriously the commitment to your members' financial well-being.
