UFirst FCU Grand Opening Ceremony

UFirst FCU Board of Directors, staff and guests celebrated the grand opening of our Rugar St. operations center Tuesday, June 19. Over 100 invited guests enjoyed the flag raising conducted by the American Legion Color Guard. Adam Blaine accompanied with the bagpipes and Martha Cashman sang our National Anthem. Following the outdoor ceremony, invited guests proceeded into the building where Board President Peter Zielinski and CEO Linda Bourgeois thanked all those who were involved in the building process as well as giving a history of UFirst FCU (SUNY Plattsburgh FCU). Ron McLean an executive from the New York State Credit Union League presented UFirst with a print picturing the founders of the credit union movement which will hang in our new building. John Ettling, SUNY Plattsburgh President and Bernie Bassette Town of Plattsburgh Supervisor extended congratulations and greetings from Plattsburgh State and the Town of Plattsburgh. Day One - June 11, 2007

Members arrived at the UFirst FCU Operations Center for opening day in our new building. The staff reported an active first day of business. There were many positive comments about our wonderful new surroundings.

UFirst FCU Members Preview

The UFirst FCU hosted a Members Preview at our new Operations Center on Rugar St. on Sunday, June 3, 2007. The new building will be open for business on Monday, June 11th. Many of our members took advantage of the tours provided by the Staff and Board of Directors. Pictures of the Members Preview are available at the link in the side bar to the right.

The New Building Bulletin

I had an opportunity to visit our new building this afternoon. It's very exciting to see it taking shape in such a beautiful way. The stone facade is quite elegant. I will be posting new photos when all the windows have been installed. When I entered the building the carpenters were hard at work constructing the counters. Make it a point to drive up Rugar St. in the near future to see the progress.
It won't be long now!

UFirst Rugar St. Location

The UFirst Board of Directors met on Tuesday, January 16th. The Board and staff are thrilled to announce that the target dates for the move to our new Rugar St. location are June 8th, 9th and 10th. These plans are contingent on the continued excellent progress we are making with our new construction. We hope you're as excited as we are about our move.
